SCHOOL BUILDING IN DINISE

A NEW SCHOOL IS BEING BUILDING IN DINISE- PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!

In partnership with Point On the Wheel and the Second Baptist of Missouri, Samaritan's Heart is building a seven rooms school in Dinise. This school belongs to Evangelical Church of Haiti in Dinise, but the real beneficiaries are the children and the families of the community.

This school has been founded 3 years ago by the Rev. Pastor Josue Octeus who is a native of Dinise. As pastor Josue visited this community, 237 children  from the age 3 to 12  came to welcome him in a school day. They were supposed to be in class that time. When he asked to the parents why they are not at school that time, they responded that they cannot afford the tuition and fees of the school of Grand Caille, while this school is supported by Compassion International. Then, pastor Josue met with the community leaders and a group of 5 teachers and an administrator, payed for the salary and let the children come to school for free under a tarp raised behind his father's old house. His father Jean Dorveus Octeus appropriate the idea and accepted to give his land to build a church and the school for the community. He now is one of the leaders working with the church leaders in Dinise. The number decreased because of the false promise of the Government of Haiti talking about education for free.
Right now, more than a 100 children are receiving the bread of education in a very difficult contex: under a hot tarps which is a dramatical situation whether it's raining, sunny or windy. It is impossible that these kids continue to be kept under this tarp which makes the kids uncomfortable.

With a first support from the partners listed above and Samaritan's Heart, we have already build the foundations and pictures have been shared to the donors. Here are some of the pictures of the task.

It is challenging because we have a lot to do to finish the school building and change the situation of the children. We are in prayer so that God can touch hearts for contribution so we can go on.

A great thank you for all the sponsors who believe that this building is part of the dream of God for the community of Dinise and the neighborhood.

May God bountifully bless you!
